Museum-residence “Artkommunalka. Erofeev and others "- a kind of" machine

of time." Rising to the second floor, you find yourself in a different era - the one that Vladimir Vysotsky sang about: "Everyone lived on a par, the corridor system: there is only one toilet for thirty-eight rooms." There are fewer rooms here, but the atmosphere of Soviet life is recreated to the smallest detail. For example, in the room of a Komsomol member, picking up a bottle of Krasnaya Moskva, you can literally feel what the Soviet youth breathed. On the tour you will be told about the fate and personal stories of the former residents - this is a real "communal Odyssey". After a detailed acquaintance with the apartment and its past, you will be invited to the very heart of the communal apartment - to the kitchen. Serious neighborhood battles were in full swing here and public issues were resolved. Hospitable hosts will treat you to branded sausages with green peas and give you tea with dryers and sweets. Venedikt Erofeev is mentioned in the name of the museum not by chance. The writer studied at the Kolomna Pedagogical Institute and worked as a loader in the wine and vodka department of the store, which was located on the first floor of the building. In memory of Venedikt Erofeev, the Artkommunalka Museum simultaneously operates as an art residence, where writers and artists from different parts of Russia and the world create new works.

The Navigator Museum is located at the junction of the Kremlin and Posad, near the ancient Pyatnitsky Gates. The Navigator museum collection introduces the artifacts that determined the development of the city. Kolomna money, the famous Kolomna pot, golden silk fabric with brocade embroidery and picturesque porcelain from the Kudinov factory demonstrate the variety of trade and crafts in Kolomna. Acquaintance with rarities begins in the museum, and continues beyond its walls - in the "time routes" through historical Kolomna.

Museum-Navigator is also a visitor center. We help to plan a museum and city route, issue a "single ticket" to the museums of Kolomensky Posad and a city tour with pleasant discounts. There is also a souvenir shop with themed gifts, route maps, a magazine for free-walkers "Okolokolomna" and books from the "Kolomensky text" series.

The unusual museum is located on the banks of the Kolomenka River next to the Marinka Tower of the Kolomna Kremlin in a building built in 1902 - a former reservoir for drinking water. At the beginning of the 20th century, water was supplied to it from two artesian wells 120 meters deep, drilled near this place in 1897.

Here you can trace the entire path of the origin of the urban economy of the city. On the lower tier - the history of the Kolomna water supply, gas facilities, landscaping - from the 19th century to the Great Patriotic War. On the second floor - a panorama of the city of the beginning of the last century. The exposition of the upper tier tells about today's day of the municipal enterprises of housing and communal services of Kolomna. Their achievements and history of development, photographs of business leaders and leaders. There is even a model of an operating power plant that supplies light to a small wooden house.

Thanks to whom did the first ice tracks appear in Kolomna? How was the sports school "Kometa" formed? Who decided to build the Kolomna Skating Center? You will receive answers to these questions at the Museum of the History of Skating.

In the exhibition you will see different types of skates from previous eras, personal belongings of athletes and coaches, photographs, documents, as well as items that can trace the history of speed skating across the country. This is the only Russian museum that introduces visitors to speed skating from its very beginnings - and this is the distant 1889 - to our time.

Special attention should be paid to the archaeological exposition of the museum. The main exhibit is a pottery forge weighing about 19 tons. This is a special kiln for firing ceramics. It was discovered during archaeological excavations in the historical part of Kolomna in 2000.
