Gorki Zoo

Zoo "Gorki" was opened to the public October 25, 2009 in the Kolomna district and is the first contact zoo in the Moscow region. A completely new direction in tourism and recreation is making its way here.

Unlike most zoos, in which it is forbidden to contact with animals, the zoo "Gorki" positions itself as a contact zoo, where you can not only look at the animals, but also feed and take care of them.

The zoo was founded on the basis of the farm "Maksheevsky", which was living out its last days. The farm was purchased in a very poor condition in the spring of 2009, and in the following summer the enclosures for the animals were repaired and prepared.

Accessible to visitors with disabilities: Accessible to visitors with disabilities. No induction loop. There are no tactile exhibits. There is a toilet, but it is not equipped.
