Музей искусств XX-XXI вв. основан в 2010 году попечением Аллы Повелихиной - историка искусства и президента ученого совета МОК.

Задачей МОК является возрождение одного из направлений «прерванного на бегу» русского авангарда. Деятельность Музея Органической Культуры (МОК) насыщена выставочными проектами, представляющими прежде всего собрание музея. Публикации исследований с привлечением специалистов и ученых смежных наук позволяют открывать новые грани русского современного искусства.

Необычный музей расположился на берегу реки Коломенки рядом с Маринкиной башней Коломенского кремля в здании постройки 1902 года – бывшего резервуара для питьевой воды. В начале ХХ века вода в него поступала из двух артезианских скважин глубиной 120 метров, пробурённых недалеко от этого места в 1897 году.

Здесь можно проследить весь путь зарождения городского хозяйства города. На нижнем ярусе – история коломенского водопровода, газового хозяйства, благоустройства – с XIX века и до Великой Отечественной войны. На втором этаже – панорама города начала прошлого века. Экспозиция верхнего яруса рассказывает о сегодняшнем дне муниципальных предприятий жилищно-коммунального хозяйства Коломны. Их достижения и история развития, фотографии руководителей предприятий и передовиков. Есть даже макет действующей электростанции, которая подаёт свет в маленький деревянный домик.

Благодаря кому появились первые ледовые дорожки в Коломне? Как образовалась спортивная школа «Комета»? Кто решил построить конькобежный центр «Коломна»? Ответы на эти вопросы вы получите в Музее истории конькобежного спорта.

В экспозиции вы увидите разные виды коньков из предыдущих эпох, личные вещи спортсменов и тренеров, фотографии, документы, а также предметы, по которым можно проследить историю скоростного бега на коньках в масштабе страны. Это единственный российский музей, который знакомит посетителей с конькобежным спортом от самых его истоков — а это далекий 1889 год — до нашего времени.

Отдельно следует обратить внимание на археологическую экспозицию музея. Главный экспонат— гончарный горн весом около 19 тонн. Это специальная печь для обжига керамики. Его обнаружили во время археологических раскопок в исторической части Коломны в 2000 году.

The Silk Factory Museum-LaboratoryIn the building of the former silk factory of the Levin and Babaev merchants of the first half of the 19th century, a unique space has been created today. The preserved building combines an exhibition and conference hall, a museum of Kolomna silk weaving and a creative laboratory. This is a place where the history of textiles comes to life and becomes accessible to everyone.Here you can learn how silk appeared in Kolomna, what the merchants of the 18th-19th centuries did, and what importance the city had in the textile history of the country. Museum visitors can not only explore the collection of antique fabrics and artifacts, but also take part in guided tours, lectures on fashion and handicrafts, and try their hand at weaving or designing.

The museum hosts workshops for children and adults on weaving and silk painting. Under the guidance of experienced craftsmen, participants create accessories such as bracelets and scarves with traditional Kolomna patterns, learn about different types of weaving, work with dyes, and even see real silkworm cocoons. Each lesson combines a historical story with practice, and you can take the results of your work home as a keepsake.

For families with children, there are theatrical excursions: little travelers go to distant lands after a silk cocoon, follow the Kolomna silk route on an old map, collect an outfit for a merchant's wife, and end the program with a tea party with real Kolomna marshmallows.The Silk Factory space also has a modern life: exhibitions, lectures, and creative evenings are held here.

The Museum-Laboratory is suitable for individual visits, family leisure, group excursions, corporate events, and creative meetings.
